Grammy-nominated guitarist and performer Rick Vito has been active in the music industry since the 1970’s, having worked as a solo artist, songwriter, session musician, and as a member of the bands of John Mayall, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Seger, Jackson Browne, Roger McGuinn and many other R&R Hall of Fame artists. He is probably best known as an official member of Fleetwood Mac from 1987 to 1991, and more recently as the frontman for the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band. Rick is also the recipient of the W.C. Handy Award and has 8 solo CDs and 2 solo DVDs in his long list of credits.

1967-68 – Florida State University. My first rock band, The Prowlers.
1968- Sarasota Club bands – Joe Bill & the Playboys (Joe Bill Loudermilk, Chris Neilson, and others),The Illusions (Russ Conway, Harvey Watson, Mason Fountain, & Jim Strobel ), The Bittersweet (Larry Reinhardt, Dave Walshaw, Richard Price, Ramon Sotolongo)
1969- Jacksonville, FL – The Second Coming (Dickie & Dale Betts, Berry Oakley, Rhino, & John Meeks ) House gig @ The Scene & free concerts @ the park with Duane Allman, Butch Trucks, & The One Percent.
1970- Jax – The New Second Coming (Rhino, Richard Price, John Meeks, Monty Young). We played weekly concerts @ the Jax Beach Colliseum.
1971- San Francisco, CA – Boz Scaggs (Boz,Doug Cimril,George Raines,David Brown, and others). We played the Fillmore,the Matrix, and all the local music clubs.
1972-76 Sarasota @ the east coast show bands (Ellsworth Helm, Ron Overcash, Bob & Dolores Bobbing, Clay Cropper, Mason Fountain, Harry Ward, and others ). We played up and down the east coast and ended up back on Bradenton Beach with a house gig @ the Wreck.
1976-80 Austin TX – Jerry Jeff Walker (Jerry Jeff, Dave Perkins, Bobby Rambo, Fred Krc, Ron Cobb) toured the US playin festivals and sheds and opening shows for Willie Nelson. Lots of studio stuff too.
1980-85 Austin, TX – Delbert McClinton (Delbert, Billy Sanders,Robert Harwell,James Pennebaker, Larry Lange, Frosty,Roddy Colona, Ernie Durawa and others ) We toured the US , a lot of Willie shows.
1985-90 Austin, TX – Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble (Stevie, Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon) We toured the world headlining festivals and sheds.
1992- Joe Ely (Joe,Ian Moore, Davis McClarty) We toured Europe and the US.
1994- Nashville Lee Roy Parnell (James Pennebaker, Lynn Williams, Steve Mackey)
1994-2011 Nashville, TN – Mostly studio work. Club bands – The Bluebloods (Mike Henderson, Glenn Worf, John Gardner), Al Anderson (Al, Glenn Worf, Chad Cromwell and others ), Gary Nicholson (Gary, Kenny Greenberg, Michael Rhodes, Chad Cromwell), Grooveyard (John Cowan, Mike Brignardell, Pat Buchanon, Gregg Morrow, Dennis Taylor, and Steve Herman), Ashley Cleveland (Kenny Greenberg, Michael Rhodes, Chad Cromwell and others), Dave Perkins Band (Dave, Richard Price, TJ Klay, and others), Jack Pearson, Jonell Mosser, and recently the Bart Walker Band (Bart , Paul Ossola, Lynn Williams)
