Peter Swanek is simply put, a music passionate man. A promoter of over 300 concert/club dates since 2000, Peter’s Players has provided musical entertainment to over 20 venues. Peter’s Players presents every show with the music at the forefront, the way it should be.
“Growing up, music was always a big part of my life. Eventually I got married and had four kids, and now I’m refocusing on the music again,” he said. “People in the audience really seem to relate to it because these are the things they did when they were younger.”
Sometimes Peter Swanek goes to the bands, and sometimes the bands come to him. For the past seven years, Swanek has been promoting and hosting intimate jazz and blues concerts right in his own home in Innisfil. Now Swanek has a new home in Gravenhurst, and he’s brought the music with him.
Currently Peter has been running his very serious home theatre in Muskoka for the last 3 years and with contacts and connections to provide a very impressive lineup, Peter opened up Peter’s Place theatre in April 2008 with international music icons James Cotton, Johnny Winter, Robben Ford, Omar and the Howlers, John Mayall, Tab Benoit, Les Dudek and well you get the drift….
“Peter is such a soulful guy. He really has a strong belief in the music, and just wants to bring it to more people” – Jack de Keyzer
